About Sugar Ray
Sugar Ray is a rock band named after the boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, although when it was first founded it had a different name, Shrinky Dinx, named after the toy and changed under threat of lawsuit. Following the name change an a few early attempts, Sugar Ray released Fly, their first hit single, in 1997, which would become the style most identified with the band and later imitated for further success.
